Tell us why you want to foster a Golden Retriever and bring it into your household.

About The Yard and Fence
Please describe your yard in detail where the dog will play and do his/her business: fenced or not, whether there is a grass area, open land, locked gates, pool or spa, etc.

Your Experience With Dogs
Describe the living situation for dogs currently in your care, if any. Tell us if they are mostly inside or outside dogs, where they sleep at night, where they play or exercise, how they fit in to the household, etc.

Your Choice for a Golden Retriever
Dog with minor health or behavioral issues: please tell us any of your concerns re considering such a dog.

Bonded Pair: Occasionally we get 2 dogs from same household who are especially bonded to each other even though they may not be siblings and even if one is not a Golden. Tell us under what conditions you might consider taking both.

Barking: Many Goldens bark when someone comes to he door, but typically do not bark excessively at other times. Are you OK with this?

Shedding: All goldens shed requiring more vacuuming and house cleaning . Will this bother you?

Chewing, digging, etc.: Most Goldens are free of these traits, and if they occur can be trained out of them. Tell us if you would be willing to work with a fostered golden with one of these issues.

Caring For Your Golden Retriever
Who in your household will be the primary caretaker of this dog?

How will you exercise the fostered Golden? Describe the area and what is available such as run, walk, swim, fetch, obedience or ability, other.

Describe how much responsibility will your child or children be given in the care and management of the fostered dog such as Housebreaking, Socializing, Feeding, Behavior, Grooming, Obedience, Training.

Vet care: NGRR expects it’s fostered dogs to see a vet whenever they have a medical problems. Is this ok with you?

Training Your Fostered Golden
Tell us your experience (where and when) and/or willingness to take the dog to obedience or training classes if recommended by NGRR.
